Meet the Team

The purpose of this project is to cover the college basketball recruitment process on a granular level, through the Cavinder twins.

Bradey King

Bradey is from Loveland, Colorado. As a young tomboy with a big personality, she dreamed of becoming a sports broadcaster. Now at the Walter Cronkite School, she’s inspired to keep dreaming and would love to have her own talkshow someday. BC (before Cronkite) she got a Bachelor’s degree from Regis University in Denver where she was the starting shortstop and team captain for the softball team. Bradey’s career influencers are Erin, Ellen and Elle. If you know, you know.

Tyler Dunn

Tyler is from Oklahoma City and misses the Thunder. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, he’s an experienced journalist, web producer and marketer, but he’s happiest when cracking jokes on the internet. He hopes to continue that to moderate success for a sports and culture site in the near future.

Corey Kirk

Corey is from Modesto, California. He has known he wanted to be involved in Sports Journalism ever since he can remember. Prior to being enrolled in Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Corey completed his Bachelor’s Degree at California State University Stanislaus in Turlock, CA. He also worked for multiple sports teams all across the Bay Area to gain exposure of what working in the sports environment may entail. The biggest influence in this field for Corey was Stuart Scott and how he conducted himself on the screen.

Lamar Smith

Lamar is from Washington D.C. He recently graduated from the University of Kentucky where he got a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. During his time there he worked with UK Media Relations as a student intern and worked on productions as a part of ESPNU Campus Connections. Lamar currently attends Walter Cronkite and works for Global Sports Matters at ASU as an editorial assistant.
