Keep a log of all communication and incidents with the stalker, including anything your stalker sends you, such as letters or gifts, or taking screenshots of any social media messages.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2. Call the police and file a report, giving them a copy of your log of evidence. Detectives might meet with you to ask more questions about your experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3. If necessary, go to your local courthouse to file a restraining order or to press charges.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tip: It might be easier to reach out to a domestic violence shelter or university campus victim advocate for guidance, especially if you wish to file for a restraining order or press charges.
